Kurt Wallander Series in OWWL2go


Here is the May Download of the Month. Wood Library has added Books 1-4 of the Kurt Wallander Series in the OWWL2go download service. These are MP3 format and can be used by Windows, Mac and most mp3 players including ipods.

PBS is currently airing the mystery series on WXXI on Sunday nights. The series, set in modern day Sweden, is written by Henning Mankell and features Ystad police inspector Kurt Wallander whose personal and professional lives are interwoven throughout the plots.

Early American Music on May 12

Linda Russell, balladeer, will be performing at Wood Library on Tuesday, May 12 at 7pm. She will bring 18th century America alive by using early American instruments and songs from the colonial and revolutionary periods. The event is cosponsored by Wood Library and the Ontario County Hisorical Society with funding from the New York Council on the Humanities. Adult Services Librarian Barbara Henry recently visited the Ontario County Historical Society and Museum to take a look at some of the early American musical instruments they have on display in the exhibit "In Tune: Musical Instruments from the Collection."
