'Unseen' Art: Photographer's Other Side

L. David Wheeler, editor of Steppin' Out writes: "Readers of the Canandaigua Daily Messenger are well acquainted with the work of Rikki Van Camp, the Messenger Post Media photo editor who’s provided the Daily Messenger and its affiliates with photographs since 1991.

But there’s another side to Van Camp than the dramatic landscapes you may have seen in the newspaper or on display in local galleries, stores and wineries. A March exhibit at Wood Library, called “Unseen,” will feature many of the Macedon artist’s three-dimensional, mixed-media pieces, which make use of canvas, wood, paper, metal, tree branches, plastic, paint, foam, photographs, clock parts — whatever suits the piece — and incorporate collage, woodworking, fish-printing techniques and more."
