Teen Theater "Traffic Circle" Coming Soon

If you are looking for quality home grown local theater, look no further. Wood Library's annual Teen Theater will present "Traffic Circle" next week. Attend a showing of this original screenplay written and acted by teens - with teachers John Michalko and Scott Schauman. Discussion follows the performance. There are two free public performances - Friday, July 25, 7 PM at All Things Art, 65 S. Main St. and Saturday, July 26 at Noon at Wood Library, 134 N. Main St. in Canandaigua.

Each summer Wood Library runs a Teen Theater program led by two teachers from the Canandaigua City School District. Teens develop, write, and then perform a play on a topic of importance to them. Past productions have centered on teen issues including mental health and family dynamics. Support for this year's project was provided by the F.F. Thompson Foundation and Wal-Mart. For more information about the play or project, call Jenny Goodemote, Young Adult Services Librarian at 585-394-1381.
